The York County Board of Commissioners met according to law on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. as per notice in the York News Times on October 9, 2014, with Chairman Bill Bamesberger presiding, with Jack Sikes, Kurt Bulgrin, Paul Buller and Tom Shellington.     Also present at the meeting was Melanie Wilkinson with the York News Times, Kelly Turner, County Clerk. The agenda of the meeting was posted on the bulletin board in the County Clerk’s office and a copy of the agenda was made available to each Commissioner.

 

Bamesberger announced that the Open Meetings Act was posted outside the door along with copies in the back of the Board Room.  Proof of publication was also available.

RESOLUTION #14-79

 

WHEREAS, the York County Board of Commissioners met at their regular meeting on the 14th day of October 2014, to discuss and act on an emergency created in the funds available in the Juvenile Diversion Fund; and

 

WHEREAS, operating expenses have unexpectedly exceeded revenue; and

 

WHEREAS, the York County Board of Commissioners has been advised by the County Clerk that a deficit appropriation in the sum of $10,000.00; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the York County Treasurer shall transfer the sum of $10,000.00 from the Inheritance Tax Fund to the Juvenile Diversion Fund. 

 

DATED this 14th day of October, 2014.

 

A Corporate Membership Agreement was received from Fitness Worx in which the county would pay $25.00 for September 13, 2014 thru October 1, 2015 for employees to receive a reduced rate.

FITNESS WORX

CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

YORK COUNTY

 

This is a contractual agreement between Fitness Worx/York Physical Therapy and York County.  Terms of the agreement are as follows:

1.     Agreement is for a period of twelve (12) months beginning on September 13, 2014 and ending on October 1, 2015.

2.     One payment will be made yearly to Fitness Worx/York Physical Therapy for $25 for discounted use of the facility.

3.     Employees will then receive discounted rates for a single, couple or family membership.

4.     Employees will also have the option to pay yearly or to pay on a monthly basis.

           

 

Bids were opened at 9:00 a.m. for Project B-961 Road 10 between Road C and D, Bradshaw S.W. Bridge Replacement.  The following bids were received:   All bids were accompanied with a bid bond.

The Board recommended retaining the Asset Manager Job at the Road Department, but utilizing the staff they have now working.

Elected officials and Department heads met with the Board to discuss any updates or changes to the York County Handbook.  After in depth discussion, the Board recommends to see if Pam Bourne can meet with York County Officials in December.
