Some ways volunteers contribute to our programs:
- Volunteer at a congregate meal site. Help serve meals or plan and provide entertainment at local meal sites. Activities encourage attendance, socialization, and provide stimulation to keep minds healthy.
- Be a SHIIP Volunteer. SHIIP volunteers are trained to help Nebraskans make informed decisions about Medicare and other health coverage.
- Apply to serve on our Advisory Council. Bring your knowledge of senior needs and related experience to better our service in the York County area.
- Friendly Visitor Volunteer. Friendly Visitors are needed for older adults who may not have family or friends nearby and are in need of companionship. Individuals, couples or families can apply. Training is provided.
- Match your skills to one of our needs. This flexible option allows you to volunteer with us as your schedule allows. Your experience and skills may match our needs for a short term project or be perfect for a regularly needed task in any of our programs.
