YORK COUNTY – The 2024 General Election Day is nearly here as Tuesday, Nov. 5, is right around the corner. And early voting has been underway with a large local turnout, according to the York County Clerk’s office.
The following is a look at local candidate rosters as many local races will be decided on that day:
They will also be asked about the retention of Nebraska Workers’ Compensation Court Judge Julie Martin. On the ballot will be Southeast Community College for Board of Governors with candidates being Chuck Byers and Neal Stenberg. For voters in the York Public School District, there will be the question of whether a $39.5 million bond issue should be passed to expand and renovate the York Elementary School. Of course, there are the races for United States President, U.S. Senate, U.S. Representative. And there are a number of statewide initiatives and referendum measures to be considered.
