YORK – Numbers from the Nebraska Secretary of State’s office, following the deadline for voter registration for the General Election, showed how York County has 9,447 registered voters. Of those, 6,364 are Republicans; 1,374 are Democrats; 106 are Libertarians; 45 are members of the Legal Marijuana NOW Party; 8 belong to No Labels Nebraska; and 1,550 are non-partisan. On Tuesday night, Election Night, figures from the York County Clerk’s office showed 7,105 registered voters cast ballots in York County for the 2024 General Election, which is a 75% turn-out.
All the voting locations in York County reported a busy day with the ballots delivered shortly after the voting stopped at 8 p.m. The final minutes of ballot counting in York County arrived right at 1 a.m., as the York County Clerk’s office wrapped up. The five-hour task included counting the 2,336 early ballots and all those cast on Tuesday.
