Agreements, grants and inventory on agenda for county board

YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session, on Tuesday, Nov. 25, they will consider a number of agreements, a grant application and surplus inventory for the York County Roads Department.

​The agenda includes:

• Consideration of a revised interlocal cooperation agreement with the Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD). They will talk with York County Development Corporation Director Lisa Hurley and SENDD’s Tom Bliss on the matter.
• A drawdown amount will be brought forward for the now-completed Four Corners Health Department renovation project.
• An improvement grant application will be brought forward by the York County Visitors Bureau, as $100,000 is being sought for a project at the York City Auditorium.
• They will designate the official county newspaper and website for legal publication purposes.
• They will also name the county depositories for the coming year.
• The annual service agreement between York County Aging Services and the York County Senior Center will be discussed.
• The commissioners will hear a request from York County Transportation regarding the purchase of a vehicle.
• A conversation will be held regarding an interlocal agreement between the county, surrounding counties and cities, for cooperative public safety software.
• The board members will discuss declaring certain inventory at the roads department as being surplus.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the county commissioner meeting room, located on the main floor of the courthouse.
