​YORK – Each year, the county commissioners are presented an inventory list, to approve with a resolution, which reflects the value of real, tangible property owned by the county.

YORK COUNTY – This past week, the York County Commissioners went through the county’s preliminary budget – fund by fund and in some cases line by line – as the budget committee and department heads presented its first draft.

YORK – This week, York County Assessor Kurt Bulgrin brought forward two homestead exemption applications which arrived after the set deadline, noting the county commissioners had the legal ability to allow the exemptions even if they came in late.

YORK – The York County Commissioners have sent the proposed solar zoning regulations back to the county’s zoning and planning commission for further review and possible revisions.

York County Clerk's Office is taking job applications for an Accounts Payable Clerk.  Working hours will be Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours/week. Under general supervision of the County Clerk this position: compiles and maintains accounts payable records by entering claims and printing vendor checks; balances month end with treasurer’s office and bank statements; issues 1099’s at years end, compiles inventory records, and other office work as needed.

YORK – Bob Sautter is in the last month of his long-held position as York County Visitors Bureau director.

​YORK – A steering committee has been formed to start the process of updating York County’s comprehensive plan.

YORK – It’s been no secret that for a very long time now, the York County Jail’s inmate capacity of 30-32 people is consistently reached and a good number of county inmates have to be housed elsewhere because there are simply not enough beds.

YORK COUNTY – York County Deputy County Clerk Mary Melby has been officially appointed as the York County Clerk.
