YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session on Tuesday, Sept. 30, they will have a relatively light agenda.
AURORA – A number of York County officials, including county commissioners, attended the central district meeting of the Nebraska Association of County Officials on Thursday, in Aurora.

YORK COUNTY – The recall effort against Gresham Village Board Chairman Tony Cain has ended, as no petition signatures have been turned in.
YORK – The York County Commissioners have approved the budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
YORK COUNTY – York County Commissioner LeRoy Ott and Julie Wellman, the person who filed a petition seeking the recall of Ott, have provided statements regarding the upcoming special election pertaining to this matter.
These are their statements, unedited, exactly as they were presented: YORK – The York County Commissioners have officially set Dec. 9 as the date for a special election regarding the matter of recalling Commissioner LeRoy Ott.
The York County Highway Department is accepting applications for a full-time Road Crew 1 position. This job requires operating heavy equipment. Wages start at $18.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications plus benefit package (health insurance, wellness program, retirement plan, vacation, holiday & sick leave). Pre-employment background and drug screen required. The position is subject to a veteran's preference. York County is an EOE.
