YORK COUNTY – York County voters voiced their opinions regarding school board races in the area during Tuesday’s General Election. 

​YORK – The majority of voters living in the York School District have said yes to a $39.5 million bond issue which will exponentially expand the size of the York Elementary School.

​YORK – Five York city officials were formally chosen to serve for the next four years during Tuesday’s General Election.

YORK – LeRoy Ott and Joe Burgess have been officially voted in as county commissioners.

YORK – Each of the villages in York County had races in this election cycle for village board representation.

YORK – Numbers from the Nebraska Secretary of State’s office, following the deadline for voter registration for the General Election, showed how York County has 9,447 registered voters. Of those, 6,364 are Republicans; 1,374 are Democrats; 106 are Libertarians; 45 are members of the Legal Marijuana NOW Party; 8 belong to No Labels Nebraska; and 1,550 are non-partisan. 

YORK – After quite a round of questions and conversation, the York County Commissioners signed off on receiving more than $1 million in federal grants for the county juvenile diversion program.

YORK COUNTY – Sgt. Taylor Samek with the York County Sheriff’s Office says during the month of October, the YSO participated in a traffic safety overtime initiative which was primarily focused on the Highway 81 corridor in York County. 

YORK COUNTY – The York County Commissioners are considering installing three stop signs at the intersection of Roads M and 11, due to safety concerns.
