YORK COUNTY – End-of-month statistics show the York County Sheriff’s Department had a very busy November.
According to the figures provided by the sheriff’s office:
YORK COUNTY – York County Assessor Kurt Bulgrin says entities who received a permissive tax exemption last year must file a Statement of Reaffirmation of Tax Exemption (Form 451A) by Dec. 31.
YORK – Each year at this time, the county board members officially name the official depositories for the county, for the new calendar year.
Named for 2025 are Cornerstone Bank, Midwest Bank, York State Bank, Henderson State Bank, NPAIT in Lincoln and Union Bank and Trust.
York County Zoning Administrator Nate Heinz said he reached out to Keith Marvin from the Marvin group about that as well.
YORK COUNTY – The York County Commissioners have decided to use ARPA (federal COVID relief) funds to do three overlay projects next year.
YORK COUNTY -- The York County Sheriff's Office will be participating in the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign which will take place from December 11 to January 1. The focus of this campaign will be reducing impaired driving during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season.
YORK COUNTY – From Nov. 23 to Dec. 1, the York County Sheriff’s Office participated in the “Make It Click” traffic enforcement campaign.
YORK – York County’s high medical claims in 2024 resulted in an 18% increase in health insurance costs for 2025.
YORK – York County officials have started the process of upgrading the courthouse security camera system.
YORK COUNTY – The sheriff’s office will be getting some new in-car computers thanks to a grant which will cover 75% of the cost.
