YORK – As is done every year at this time, the York County Commissioners have approved the county inventory. The inventory listing shows the value of assets held by each department as well as the cumulative value of the courthouse, roads program, etc.
As of the end of the fiscal year, on June 30, the total property within the courthouse was listed as $3,420,701.78. The public transportation value is listed as $319,076.97. The total value for the road and bridge department came in just over $9 million. Of that, $3.5 million was attributed to motorgraders; $1 million was attributed to excavators and loaders; $1 million was attributed to county shop materials such as tools and buildings. The courthouse itself, as well as its grounds, is valued at $9.5 million. There is also value given to other buildings owned by the county, such as those used by the extension office ($190,100), probation and historical society ($263,400), aging and transportation services ($364,985). There is also value assigned to communication towers owned by the county. The value for all the buildings and emergency communication equipment/towers came to just under $12 million. There is also value assigned to the various patrol sheds, located throughout the county, which are used by the roads department. This value came to $383,400. The grand total of county inventory is listed at $25,169,184.22. Comments are closed.
