Commissioners plan for “pink postcard” printing, if necessary

​YORK – This past week, the York County Commissioners agreed to again go with the State Print Shop if “pink postcard meeting” notices have to be created.
In September, if a taxing entity in York County is requesting a property tax increase of more than 2%, they have to have a public meeting to discuss the increase and the patrons in that taxing district must be informed via specific pink postcards in the mail.
The county has used the State Print Shop in the past, ever since this requirement was created by state legislation.
York County Commissioner Daniel Grotz said he spoke with the assessor's office regarding their preference for printing contractor, "and Assessor Kurt Bulgrin has said he feels using them before has worked, it is a process his office can work with and he recommends using them again."
