Commissioners scheduled to name interim road supervisor

​YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session on Tuesday, Oct. 28, they are scheduled to name an interim road supervisor/supervisors.

​This comes as York County Highway Superintendent Harvey Keim will be retiring as of Oct. 31.
The board members said in their last meeting they will name an interim supervisor and then eventually hire a new highway superintendent. They are currently taking applications from interested, qualified individuals.
Also during Tuesday’s meeting:

• The board will again talk about an agreement for arching services provided by Vanguard.
• A service agreement with Engineered Controls will be discussed.
• The commissioners will discuss and act on a consultation agreement with WJE.
• An updated 911 call center interlocal agreement with the City of York will be considered.
• There will also be a discussion about the county board’s next meeting, which will fall on Veterans Day, regarding the date and time they should meet.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioners’ meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse, next to the clerk’s office.
