YORK – The York County Commissioners will conduct public interviews of applicants seeking to be the next York County Clerk. After 10 years in the position, Kelly Turner has announced her retirement.
The county collected applications, as the next step. The public interview process is according to law. And the York County Commissioners will make the appointment. The commissioners will make their decision on Tuesday morning, with the new clerk to be sworn in on Wednesday, Aug. 7. Submitting applications were: Mary Melby, Angelica Noziska, Kashia Epp, Kevin Hand and Amanda Taggart. Whomever is chosen as the next clerk will fulfill the remainder of Turner’s term, which is in year two of four years. The interviews will begin at 8:45 a.m. Also on the commissioners’ agenda for Tuesday, Aug. 6:
