YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session next Tuesday, May 13, they will be discussing two county job positions. One position will be that of the weed superintendent. They will consider whether that position should also be a member of the roads department, in reference to comments during an earlier meeting.
They will also talk about the position of general assistance director. This is a part-time position which has typically been a side-job of a county employee. The position has been fulfilled by staff members in the district court office and now that it is open again, the county board members will be talking about filling it once again.
