YORK – On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the York County Commissioners will be holding their regular meeting, as well as their budget hearing. During their regular meeting, they will be considering a visitors improvement grant for improvements to the Jack Vincent Press Box. This is part of the major renovation at Levitt Stadium and this portion is being undertaken by private efforts.
They will also discuss an interlocal agreement with District 5 Probation for the county’s problem solving court. They will also act on setting the wages of county employees which are set by the commissioners. As the board of equalization, they will discuss with the assessor tax list corrections. And they will consider a motor vehicle tax exemption for York University. Concerning the county budget, only a 1% increase is expected for this fiscal year. A public hearing will be held. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting and the public hearing, which will start at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioners’ meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse next to the clerk’s office.
