YORK – The York County Commissioners will be reviewing the findings of the audit from the 2023-24 fiscal year, when they meet in regular session on Tuesday, April 15. They will also revisit the new solar field zoning regulations -- not to debate the matter but rather to take a vote on a resolution rather than a simple motion. During the last meeting, the action was taken by a motion. Section 1103, point 2, of the county's comprehensive plan says amendments to the zoning regulations have to be done by resolution, not by a simple motion. So the commissioners will take that up again, to vote on a resolution.
They will also be meeting with Tanya Crawford, extension office administrator, to discuss the 4-H Beyond Ready Initiative. The 2024 noxious weed report will be presented. They will also recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Consideration will be given to the submission of an application for public transportation funding. As the board of equalization, they will discuss motor vehicle tax exemptions. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioners’ meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse next to the clerk’s office.
