YORK COUNTY – This week, the York County Commissioners held their last meeting of the 2023-24 fiscal year this week. And in doing so, they had to transfer some money to certain funds where expenses came in higher than what was budgeted. York County Commissioner Chairman Randy Obermier explained to the two newer board members how this does happen at the end of the fiscal year, most years, as sometimes unforeseen expenses occur and transfers are made within the general fund.
“We had five funds with shortfalls,” Obermier said. The shortfalls occurred in the following funds with these amounts needed to cover those shortfalls:
