Conditional use permit allowed for second house in quarter quarter

YORK – This past week, the York County Commissioners agreed to allow a conditional use permit for a second house in a quarter quarter.

​The zoning regulation limiting houses in the rural area of the county have long been in place. Only one house per quarter is allowed and any additional houses require a conditional use permit.
This house will be constructed by Brad White along Road T, explained York County Zoning Administrator Nate Heinz.
The permit was allowed with the requirement the old house has to be either moved or destroyed after the new house is completed.
This is the third such project to have come before the county board in the last few months.
