YORK – This past week, Jerad Reimers, a staff member from the team working with Congressman Adrian Smith, met with the York County Commissioners. He explained to the board how Congressman Smith has three offices in the district, because it is the largest physical Congressional district in the nation.
“The goal in establishing three offices is so no one has more than a four-hour drive to a physical location,” Reimers said. “The main goal is to provide constituent services – case work. That is how we assist constituents with mailing addresses within the district while working through federal red tape. “For example, the passport process is very, very backlogged,” Reimers said. “And we also provide letters of support for federal grant applications. We also help with veterans administration issues.” Reimers talked about Smith’s work in Washington, as well as legislation he has supported. Comments are closed.
