YORK – Janelle Vice, corrections supervisor, has been named the York County Sheriff’s employee of the quarter. She was nominated by her co-workers in the sheriff’s department. The nomination for this award is primarily based on consistent high performance in job duties, exceeding performance expectations, outstanding customer service, remarkable leadership or significant contributions to a case or project.
“Hard-working, meticulous, professional and always willing to lend a helping hand” were just a few of the ways the individuals described her. It’s also important to note she was nominated for this award by multiple York County employees. Vice was recently promoted to corrections supervisor and “truly leads by example. Janelle ensures her subordinates’ needs are taken care of and is a fierce advocate for her employees. She is always available to answer questions and frequently comes in to help her team members when they are short-staffed. Janelle not only completes her duties as a supervisor but also completes the daily work of a corrections officer assisting with meals, cell checks, searches and transports as well,” the sheriff’s department said. “Janelle is the kind of supervisor everyone wants to work for, and her efforts make work an enjoyable place for her employees. We appreciate her consistent high performance and exceptional leadership that she provides for York County.” Comments are closed.
