YORK – The most recent meeting of the York County Commissioners marked the first since Harvey Keim resigned his position as highway superintendent and the new supervisors for the roads department made their report. Ashley Rasmussen and Greg Heine explained how all the mapping is done with a brand new program being utilized by the roads department.
Rasmussen also noted how the county has four shredders which are used to trim ditches before the snow flies. However, two are down. She said they will continue moving forward, getting the bus routes ready first. They also said they have been going around, looking at right-of-way issues and they will send out letters when maybe there is some encroachment happening. They also said they would be wrapping up gravel work in the next few weeks as winter prep work is underway. Also during this past week’s meeting of the county board:
