County commissioners to consider haul route agreement with pipeline, fire suppression in jail

YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session on Tuesday, Nov. 12, they will be considering a haul route agreement with a CO2 pipeline company, a fire suppression project in the county jail and more.

​They will meet at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioners’ meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse next to the county clerk’s office.
Precision Pipeline will soon be installing a CO2 capture pipeline system which will connect many ethanol plants in the state, including the one in York County.
The county already has haul route regulations in place for projects such as this – the company has been working with the highway superintendent to iron out the details. The final decisions will be made on Tuesday.
Also during the Nov. 12 meeting:

• The board will be acting on the installation of three stop signs at the intersection of Roads M and 11. An engineering company has already recommended the three stop signs at this very busy intersection for safety purposes.
• The board will discuss and act on 2023 distress warrants and delinquent personal property tax.
• A public hearing will be held regarding a liquor license application filed by BPH S Prem S Corporation, which is the owner of Henderson Fuel Mart.
• The county commissioners will consider the purchase of a vehicle to be used by county officials.
• Further conversation will be held regarding the installation of a fire suppression system in the county jail.
• The county’s health insurance policy will be discussed as well.
