County commissioners to discuss employee health insurance during Monday night meeting

​YORK – The York County Commissioners will be meeting at 5 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 10, rather than at 8:30 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 11, because Tuesday is Veterans Day.

​During the Monday meeting, they will be discussing options for the next year when it comes to employee health insurance. Predictions are that the increase in price, this coming year, might be less than seen in recent years – due to the options being presented.
Also during Monday night’s meeting:

• The board will meet with Josh Henderson and Aaron Wescoat from Glenwood, as they provide a progress update on the fiber project underway in the southern portion of the county.
• The board will consider a consulting agreement with WJE.
• Andrew Allen from the Southeast Nebraska Development District will be present to talk about the Four Corners Health Department project, for which the county was a pass-through entity for grant funds. This will be a public hearing.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will be held in the commissioners’ meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse, next to the clerk’s office.
