County inventory approved for end of fiscal year

​YORK – The York County Commissioners have approved the county’s inventory of property as of June 30, which was the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year.
The inventory shows the total value of courthouse property is $3,675,555.47.
The weed control property has a value of $43,999.45 and the Busy Wheels-Handibus property is worth $285,424.97.
The roads department has a property value of $8,766,645.14, with $3,670,856.46 of that attributed to motorgraders alone. Excavators and loaders are worth just over $1 million and county shop materials (tools, supplies in the shop building and the yard) are worth $706,950. The following are break-downs of the value of other property: tractors and mowers, $282,918; pickups, $381,658; dump trucks, $443,641; semi-trucks, $643,965; grading equipment, $733,766; maintainer shed, $131,000.
When it comes to county real estate, the courthouse and grounds has a value of just under $9.5 million. The aging services building is valued at $364,985 and there are values assigned for communication towers and miscellaneous buildings.
There are values assigned for the various patrol sheds in the various areas, coming to a total of $383,400.
The grand total of county inventory and assets is listed at just over $25 million.
