YORK – Resumes are now being accepted from those living in District 2 in York County who are interested in becoming the county commissioner representing that jurisdiction.
The election results have been determined to be official, in which the majority voted in favor of recalling LeRoy Ott. So that creates a vacancy on the county board. The requirements include that an applicant must be a citizen of the United States, be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED. They must reside in District 2 and be a registered voter with no felony convictions. The salary is set per resolution with a full benefit package. Resumes will be accepted through Jan. 9. Then, interviews will be held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m., before a panel consisting of the county clerk, the county treasurer and the county attorney. Those three county officials will also make the decision as to who will serve in this capacity. Cover letters and resumes should be sent to the York County Clerk’s Office at 510 North Lincoln Avenue, York, NE 68467 or they can be emailed to [email protected]. Comments are closed.
