YORK – The York County Planning Commission will begin meeting again in November, to further discuss solar zoning regulations and to start the process of updating the county’s comprehensive plan. The York County Commissioners made some changes to the proposed regulations the planning commission had sent them earlier, held a public hearing and then sent the regulations back to the planning commission for their review.
Since that time, no further conversations regarding either topic have been held. This week, York County Commissioner Chairman Randy Obermier acknowledged the commissioners had been informed by York County Zoning Administrator Nate Heinz they would be meeting soon – Commissioner Daniel Grotz said the email they received indicated the planning commission would be meeting every third Thursday of the month. “We will get started again on talking about the solar regulations and hopefully the comprehensive plan can get rolling.” Comments are closed.
