YORK – The York County Commissioners have signed off on the annual service agreement with the York Senior Center in order for York County Aging Services to continue providing congregate meals at that location. This agreement includes how the county pays the senior center $3,360 a year – in monthly installments of $280 – for use of the building, for this purpose.
Aging Services provides a noon meal Monday through Friday for senior citizens at a discounted rate. The agency uses the senior center as its hub for this function in York, utilizing the seating space as well as the kitchen facilities. The commissioners voted unanimously to approve the contract for another year. This was the same contract with the same terms as the county commissioners signed for the prior year.
