YORK – The York County planning and zoning board continues to meet and talk about their recommendations for updates to the county’s comprehensive plan. This past week, Nate Heinz, the county’s zoning administrator, said the board recently met on a number of issues, including the updating of the comprehensive plan.
“They also considered a conditional use permit,” Heinz told the county commissioners. “That will be brought forward to you in a few weeks, as it pertains to the construction of a house in the rural area of the county. There is not really a lot to update you, at this point, regarding the comprehensive plan.” He said about 100 pages have been written, per the planning and zoning board’s recommendations, at this point. “They would like to be done with the comprehensive plan and zoning updates by March,” Heinz said. Their recommendations all come before the county commissioners who have the final say, following public meetings and hearings. Comments are closed.
