Deputies complete field training program

YORK – York County Sheriff Deputies Gabe Steele and Dylan Nordstrom have successfully completed the department’s field training program. 

​Both deputies are assigned to night shift patrol units.
Deputy Steele has previous law enforcement experience and Deputy Nordstrom graduated from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in August.
The YSO field training program is used to teach newly-hired deputies about the practices, policies and proper procedures associated with being a deputy at the YSO.
The program last 16 weeks and is in addition to the training received from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center.
Each deputy was presented with the department’s challenge coin as a memento to celebrate this achievement.
