YORK COUNTY – Registered voters living in District 2 will receive their ballots for a special election regarding the potential recall of Commissioner LeRoy Ott will be receiving their ballots in the mail between Nov. 17 and 25. Deadline for online, DMV, and mailed-in voter registrations is Friday, November 21, according to the York County Clerk’s office and the York County Elections office.
Deadline for in-person voter registration is Monday, December 1, at 6 p.m. Anyone who registers after this date will be ineligible for this special election. Registered voters wishing to vote in the special election but who will be absent from their residence during that time may make arrangements with the Clerk’s Office at 510 N Lincoln Ave York, NE 68467, or call 402-362-7759, opt. 5. The use of a ballot marking device will be available in the Clerk’s Office. The official election date is Dec. 9, which means all ballots – in order to be counted – must be returned to the clerk’s office by 5 p.m., on that day. They can be returned by mail, via the drop box on the west side of the courthouse or by hand delivery to the clerk/election offices. Comments are closed.
