YORK – Conservation Nebraska will soon be holding an event, called “The Changing Landscape of Renewable Energy in Nebraska.” Organizers say this event “will provide an overview of key topics, including policy, landowner concerns, recent technological advances in renewable energy systems, and the potential impacts of wind and solar development in Nebraska.” This event is free and open to the public and will take place Monday, March 31, from 7-8 p.m., at the Holthus Convention Center in Conference Room I.
“The potential for utility-scale renewable energy systems is becoming a reality across Nebraska, bringing exciting opportunities and important questions. To help address these questions, Conservation Nebraska, in partnership with the University of Nebraska Extension, is hosting an educational seminar on renewable energy in Nebraska. Extension Educator, F. John Hay, will be on hand to share insight and answer questions related to renewable energy. F. John Hay, an extension educator with the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, specializes in energy, renewable energy and biofuels. He focuses on the feasibility and detailed economic analysis of renewable energy systems for farms, residences and businesses.” For more information about this event contact Conservation Nebraska at [email protected] or 402-325-7093.
