HENDERSON – The York County Sheriff’s Department has released information saying one person died as a result of a two-vehicle collision near Henderson on Saturday, Oct. 12.
Sgt. Taylor Samek says at approximately 2:12 p.m., deputies with the York County Sheriff’s Department, responded along with troopers from the Nebraska State Patrol, to a report of a motor vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of Road F and Road 6, in the rural Henderson area. “Unfortunately, one of the drivers involved in the collision, identified as Leroy Friesen, 88, of Henderson, was pronounced dead at the scene,” Sgt. Samek said. “This collision is still under investigation and a reconstruction of the accident is being completed by the state patrol. Sgt. Samek said the sheriff’s department, “would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Friesen family during this tragic time.” Comments are closed.
