YORK – Four people from District 2 have submitted their applications to be considered for the vacant seat on the York County Board of Commissioners. York County Clerk Mary Melby said the candidates are Jacob Stutzman, Trevor D. Smith, Debora Robertson and Christopher Ziegler.
The deadline for applications arrived at 5 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 9. The four will be interviewed, in a public session, by a panel consisting of the county clerk, county treasurer and county attorney. Following the interview period, the panel will select the person to fulfill the term previously held by LeRoy Ott. The public interview session will begin at 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 13. It will take place in the county commissioner meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse. The protocol of having the clerk, treasurer and attorney make the appointment follows state statute. Comments are closed.
