Grader operators continue to train

​YORK – There has been hiring and training and certification going on at the York County Roads Department, which is exciting as a lot of effort has been made to get the agency fully staffed.
Greg Heine and Ashley Rasmussen from the York County Roads Department met with the York County Commissioners this past week, providing an update on the process.
Heine said one new motorgrader operator is training in the York West area and another has received his CDL.
Another good bit of news is that the motorgrader which was heavily damaged in an accident just east of the county shop (with the intersection of North Delaware Avenue) has been returned to service after receiving extensive repairs.
“Our tree shredder is in the West Blue area right now,” Heine said, “and we are done with the Road 16 culvert, just off road Road E. The culvert looks really good and we appreciate everyone’s work to get it done as quickly as possible.”
