YORK – Incumbents are reminded they have one day left to file their candidacies if they want to seek reelection in the Primary Election to be held in May. Locally, this pertains to county offices, city councils and school boards.
Incumbents must file by the end of the business day on Feb. 17, according to York County Clerk Mary Melby. Non-incumbents have until March 2 to file. Locally, it should be noted three county board seats and all the elected county officials are up for election this year. These would be: commissioner district one seat; commissioner district three seat; commissioner district four seat; county assessor; county attorney; county clerk; county clerk of the district court; county public defender; county surveyor; county sheriff; and county treasurer. Candidates must also file for Heartland School Board, McCool Junction School Board, York School Board, Henderson City Council and York City Council. Comments are closed.
