YORK – Many York County officials and staff members will be attending the annual year-end convention of the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) next week.
YORK – This week, the York County Commissioners held a public hearing to determine whether a conditional use permit should be granted on a property where a new house is being built while a house already exists there.
YORK – It’s hard to believe, but 2026 is nearly here and what that means is election filings will start soon pertaining to the Primary Election in the new year.
YORK – Over the course of the past two weeks, members of the county roads department and the city’s public works department have had some conversations about working together on road maintenance and snow removal.
YORK -- As is done at the end of each year, the county commissioners have named all the county depositories for the next year.
YORK – For the past 17 years, Gary Petersen has been the York County Emergency Manager and for the past 31 years he’s served as the same for Seward County. He’s been able to serve both counties thanks to an interlocal agreement to share the costs of the position.
YORK -- York County District 2 Commissioner LeRoy Ott has been recalled – unofficially at this point.
YORK – The York County Sheriff’s Office has been invited to participate in an impaired driving event hosted by the National Safety Council and AAA, which will be held in Omaha.
YORK – York County Public Transportation has started the process toward getting a new van for the fleet.
YORK – A number of tax list corrections were made by the county commissioners – sitting as the board of equalization – following decisions made by the Nebraska Tax Equalization Review Commission (TERC).
