Proposed solar project zoning regulations available for review on county website

​YORK – With a public hearing nearing, regarding solar project zoning regulations in York County, the revised version of proposed regulations is available for review on the York County website.
Interested persons may go to https://www.yorkcounty.ne.gov/uploads/1/4/5/5/145507130/updated_solar_regs_4-16-2026.pdf to review the 24 pages of proposed zoning language, which will be considered by the York County Commissioners.
This version of the proposed zoning regulations was created after the county board members took votes on different sections of the language, to see where the majority fell.
A public hearing regarding this matter will be held Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m., at the courthouse. Following public comment, the commissioners will not be taking formal action that night.
Formal action is expected to come Tuesday morning, April 28, when the commissioners meet in regular session. They are expected to vote on a resolution to set solar zoning regulations for the county at that time.
