"An investigation into the family involved uncovered evidence of child abuse and neglect," Samek said. "In all, five children were removed from the home and placed with the Department of Health and Human Services. During this investigation, three adults were arrested and lodged at York County Corrections."
Charles Overgaard, 55, of Gresham was arrested on the following charges: possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, child abuse, possession of a controlled substance, being a habitual criminal, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia. Corina Black, 48, of Gresham was arrested on the following charges: possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, child abuse, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nicolas Sendgraff, 32, of Omaha was arrested on a Dodge County arrest warrant. “We would like to thank CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of York County for helping us collect childcare items and toys for the children involved in this case,” Sgt. Samek said. “These situations are extremely difficult for children, but having the right supplies and the ability to take their minds off the situation with toys really helps out. “We also want to thank the deputies involved this case,” he continued. “A lot of hard work was spent investigating this case, coordinating childcare and working with allied agencies. It certainly would not have been accomplished without the dedication and work ethic of the deputies at our office.” “And furthermore, we want to thank concerned citizens who have reported issues at this residence to us. Your concerns were heard and we appreciate the fact something was said.” Comments are closed.
