YORK COUNTY – One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 34 at approximately 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12. Responding to the scene were the York County Sheriff’s Department, the York Fire and Rescue Department and Hitz Towing.
No details about the crash were readily available at the scene as the York County Sheriff’s Department was in the process of investigating the situation, but it was confirmed one person was taken by ambulance to York General Hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. This accident comes just a couple of months after York County experienced a number of fatality accidents associated with Highway 34 in York County, as well as this particular intersection. Recently, the Nebraska Department of Transportation installed rumble bars approaching this intersection, as a precautionary measure to help stop dangerous crashes. Comments are closed.
