YORK – It’s hard to believe tornado spotter training is around the corner, with snow on the ground and below zero temperatures, but spring will soon be here. Gary Petersen, York County emergency director, says Severe Weather Awareness Week is scheduled for March 24-28, with a tornado drill taking place as a routine weekly test at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, March 26.
Spotter training, conducted by the National Weather Service out of Hastings, will be held Monday, March 10, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Bradshaw VFW. The spotter training is free and open to the public. Comments are closed.
