YORK – It’s that time of year again when the York County Commissioners open gravel bids. While not necessarily the most exciting topic, it is an important one as the contracts are determined with a number of companies as far as the gravel and rock which is purchase for the county roads.
The commissioners will discuss these bids when they meet in regular session on Tuesday, April 29. Also during Tuesday’s regular meeting, the commissioners will be discussing the ongoing contracts for mowing the Cashler and Zion Cemeteries. These are abandoned pioneer cemeteries, the maintenance of which the county pays for. The commissioners will also take their quarterly tour of the jail. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting which will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioners’ chambers. Comments are closed.
