YORK – Today, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, is General Election Day. The polls will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. The following are the locations where York County residents will be voting, for those living in various precincts:
Those who go to the polls today are reminded they must bring along photo identification in order to vote. Anyone wanting to vote also has to have earlier registered. Only registered voters can participate. Of course, this is an important federal election day as this is a presidential election. Local voters will also be voting on two Senate seats and one seat in the House of Representatives. Local voters will be casting votes on several state initiatives/measures and there will be three questions regarding judge retention in Judicial District 5. In the York School District, voters will be deciding whether or not a $39.5 million bond issue should go through which would result in a major renovation/expansion project at the York Elementary School.
