Valuations in York County certified, with significant increases over last year

YORK – The York County Assessor has certified the valuations for York County, with a nearly  $1 billion increase for the county overall (compared to last year) and increases in all political subdivisions.

​The county’s overall valuation was certified as $4,872,797,867 compared to $3,971,014,357 last year. The growth value this year is $95,102,451 – growth value includes improvements to real property as a result of new construction and additions to existing buildings; any other improvements to real property; annexation of real property; a change in the use of real property; any increase in personal property valuation; and the accumulated excess valuation over the redevelopment project valuation.
The following are the valuations for the villages and cities in York County, the valuations from last year and the growth value for each:

• Benedict – valuation this year, $16,655,343; valuation last year, $11,946,569; growth value, $125,001
• Bradshaw – valuation this year, $32,241,575; valuation last year, $19,865,808; growth value, $12,774,765
• Gresham – valuation this year, $11,579,048; valuation last year, $7,646,642; growth value, $394,118
• Henderson – valuation this year, $94,621,996; valuation last year, $73,006,834; growth value, $566,002
• Lushton – valuation this year, $6,067,018; valuation last year, $5,233,638; growth value, $217,408
• McCool Junction – valuation this year, $54,482,271; valuation last year, $29,981,032; growth value, $18,370,475
• Thayer – valuation this year, $4,627,691; valuation last year, $3,950,020; growth value, $346,806
• Waco – valuation this year, $28,610,907; valuation last year, $19,929,828; growth value, $1,445,900
