YORK – A few weeks ago, the York County Commissioners enlisted the help of a company from Lincoln to take a look at possible mold and other damage created by leaking around the windows of the courthouse.
This week, that investigation continues . . . but it also looks like even more work will have to be done. York County Commissioner Chairman Randy Obermier said the county’s contracted window washer informed him the calking around the upstairs windows has been falling off. He said that would also be looked at. It’s possible windows, especially on the west side of the second floor, will have to be replaced – thee extent of the work continues be determined. The current York County Courthouse was built in the 1980s, so it is about 40 years old. Comments are closed.
