YORK COUNTY – York County Assessor Kurt Bulgrin has provided an update regarding valuations in York County, saying more parcels in the county (beyond in the City of York) were over-valued and will be corrected. On Tuesday, June 18, Bulgrin said, “After discovering the issue with the values in the City of York, it became apparent there were similar issues with values in other parts of the county as well. Upon further review of some of these parcels in the county, it was discovered the glitch affecting City of York parcels also affected parcels outside of the 2023 inspection area. Again, since this is an error which occurred, residents will not need to file a valuation protest to resolve this issue. Once the county board of equalization approves these changes, new notices of valuation will be sent to the owners of the affected properties.
“If you have any questions regarding this issue or the valuation process, please feel free to contact me,” Bulgrin said further. “I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and I appreciate your patience as we move forward to correct this error.” Comments are closed.
