YORK COUNTY – The York County Commissioners will be considering a number of topics when they meet in regular session on Tuesday, Oct. 29. They are scheduled to meet with Jerod Reimers from Congressman Adrian Smith’s office, to talk about updates from Washington.
The agreement between the York County Aging Services and the York Area Senior Center will receive its annual consideration. This agreement allows aging services to serve congregate meals at the senior center. A service agreement between the York County Sheriff’s Department and Planet Technologies will be reviewed. The board will discuss and act on the York County Treasurer’s 2022 distress warrants, delinquent personal property taxes. Another drawdown for the owner-occupied housing rehabilitation program will be considered. The commissioners will designate someone from their board as a NACO conference voter. The board members will discuss and act on the year-end certification of the county highway superintendent. As the board of equalization, they will meet with Nebraska Property Tax Administrator Sarah Scott and they will amend the resolution setting the levies for political subdivisions to reflect the levy for a corrected budget from the Village of McCool Junction. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the commissioners’ meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse next to the clerk’s office. Comments are closed.
