York County Commissioners to consider numerous topics in Tuesday meeting

​YORK – When the York County Commissioners convene in regular session Tuesday morning, Jan. 20, they will consider a number of topics and agenda items.

​First off, however, there will be a “community member meritorious conduct award presentation” made by the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Included in the agenda will be:

• The annual report will be presented by the county weed superintendent.
• A conversation will be held about possibly having an intern work at the York County Visitors Bureau.
• The board will talk about the future of emergency management in York County.
• The annual contract with Zelle HR Solutions will be considered.
• As a part of regular business this time of year, they will adopt a resolution regarding the county’s 911 surcharge.
• They will consider a memorandum of understanding between the county and the Nebraska Department of Veterans Affairs.
• The board will do their quarterly jail tour.
• The county assessor will present tax list corrections.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 8:30 a.m., in the county commissioner meeting room, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse.
