KEARNEY – York County Sheriff Paul Vrbka has been named the new president of the Nebraska Sheriff’s Association. The passing of the gavel took place this past week in Kearney where the association was holding its annual convention.
Vrbka is currently in his second term as sheriff. He was first elected in 2018 and then again in 2022. He has worked for the York County Sheriff’s Department for decades and was a lieutenant when Dale Radcliff was sheriff. Upon Radcliff’s retirement, Vrbka ran for the position. Vrbka has served on the executive board of the state sheriff’s department for a number of years. His presidency of the association will have a duration of one year. Comments are closed.
