YORK – The York County Sheriff’s Department awards Employees of the Quarter to staff whose conduct over the evaluation period is deserving of recognition. The nomination for this award is primarily based on consistent high performance in job duties, exceeding performance expectations, outstanding customer service, remarkable leadership or significant contributions to a case or project.
Administrative Assistant Abbey Stamp was named Employee of the Quarter for this quarter of 2024. Those who nominated Stamp said, “Selfless, courteous and helpful are just a few of the adjectives used to describe Abbey. Creating a list of everything Abbey does for our office would be a difficult task because she does so much that many people do not realize. The phrase ‘just put it on Abbey’s desk’ is frequently used by employees at the office when they are unsure of where certain paperwork needs to go. Abbey always seems to know where things go and the specific needs of each employee which makes our office run smoothly. Abbey takes on projects or tasks with a positive attitude and ensures the work is done right. Abbey has also been seen coming in on her days off to ensure that payroll and other projects are completed in an effort to lighten the load for her co-workers. Abbey is constantly lending a helping hand to not only members of our agency but also to the numerous members of the public that visit our office on a daily basis.” One nominator commented how she “is always polite and considerate to others, even if she is not treated in the same way in return.” Sheriff Paul Vrbka said, “quite frankly, our office would not run half as well as it does without Abbey’s efforts. She is a remarkable example of selfless service and an employee who provides outstanding customer service to everyone she encounters. The York County Sheriff’s office is very lucky to have Abbey Stamp on our staff.” Comments are closed.
