YORK -- This past week, the York County Sheriff’s Office hosted a basic Field Training Officer (FTO) course at York University. This course was not only attended by deputies with the local office but also law enforcement agencies from across Nebraska.
A Field Training Officer, commonly referred to as an FTO, is one of the most important roles at a law enforcement agency. These deputies are tasked with overseeing the training of newly hired deputies and evaluating their daily performance. It’s a role that requires a lot of patience and hard work. Deputy Brandon Huebner and Deputy Deion Hulse successfully completed the course and will now serve as field training officers for the York County Sheriff’s Office. The YSO thanks York University for the use of its facilities to host the training. Comments are closed.
